Visit us anytime at https://www.asbestosclaims.law/. In the early 1930s, Donald Cummings of the Saranac Laboratory for the Study of Tuberculosis was commissioned by the silica industry to study the health impacts of working with silica.
Much to their chagrin, the findings in his subsequent report indicted the industry for silica's detrimental effect on the health of workers. Corporate execs did NOT want these findings to become public (obviously) so they sent Cummings a letter that firmly objected to the report being published.
They didn't question the science. They didn't invalidate the results. They just didn't want it to come out.
What happened next was textbook corporate manhandling.
