Exploring the Historical Artifacts of the United Asbestos Company | Asbestos Attorney Justinian Lane

Hi everyone, I'm Asbestos Attorney Justinian Lane, and today I’m excited to share a couple of fascinating artifacts from the United Asbestos Company, one of the first commercial exploiters of asbestos.

Artifact 1: Multi-Use Device from 1889

This unique device includes a ruler with a catalog of products sold by the United Asbestos Company, showcasing the original commercial asbestos products.

The United Asbestos Company operated mines in Italy during the 1800s, marking the early days of commercial asbestos exploitation.

Artifact 2: World War One Era Item

A historical piece from 1915, when the company supplied over 60 million square feet of asbestos cement to government departments, highlighting the military use of asbestos during WWI.

This artifact underscores the significant role asbestos played in naval and military operations.
