Here's a bite-sized sample.
Asbestos floor tile. This stuff was everywhere! But because it is what's called a "locked-in" tile, it's not dangerous...unless you start sanding it or otherwise turning it into aerated material.
So it should come as no surprise that if you are doing a home remodel and are concerned about asbestos tile, you want to make sure proper precautions are taken. That should include hiring a licensed asbestos abatement company, or at the very least wearing proper asbestos-rated PPE.
NO AMOUNT OF ASBESTOS EXPOSURE IS CONSIDERED SAFE!
