Our primary aim at Environmental Health Perspectives (EHP) is to publish high-quality research, reviews, commentaries, and news articles that substantially advance our understanding of environmental health. We also aim to raise the bar for what is considered high-quality, fully transparent scientific reporting. We are therefore dedicated to the highest standards of peer review and publication ethics. Our Research Content The environmental health sciences include a broad array of disciplines, from bench science to observational research. Our original research articles and commentaries typically come from the following disciplines: Experimental toxicology Epidemiology Exposure science Risk assessment However, we are open to submissions from any established or emerging discipline that examines the relationship between the environment and human health, provided the manuscript meets our criteria for consideration. Please note, we are unable to respond to presubmission author inquiries regarding the suitability of a manuscript for the journal. In addition to original research and commentaries, we publish reviews in a variety of formats: Scoping reviews Evidence maps State-of-the-science reviews Full systematic reviews Meta-analyses Our News Content Our news content is designed to engage and educate a broad audience. Our feature articles explore current environmental health topics in a multidisciplinary fashion, while our Science Selections explain EHP research findings in nontechnical language. Our Reach We reach not only the broader environmental health research community, but also administrators, policy makers, advocates, health care professionals, educators, and others who are interested in environmental health topics. Our readers come from many nations around the world. Thus, we are fulfilling our mission of making reliable and useful environmental health information freely accessible across the globe.
